Romans 10: 17 states, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”We receive faith from hearing God’s word. When we hear God’s word on healing, we receive faith for healing. And, when we hear God’s word on prosperity, we receive faith for prosperity. This is part of the process that saved us. According to teaching found in Romans chapter 10, we receive faith for salvation when we hear God’s word on salvation. Hearing God’s word has to be a part of our daily lifestyle.

God told Joshua, in Joshua 1:8, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” God’s children should start and end each day with prayer and the word of God. Jesus confirmed this when he stated, in John 15:7, “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” To abide in Christ is to walk in the Spirit. To allow God‘s word to abide within you is to meditate upon it every day. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.” (Psalm 1:1-2).

A list of scriptures, arranged according to topic, will be presented in this article. This is not in any way an exhaustive list, but it will cover some very important subjects. It is suggested that you purchase a “Bible promise book,” this is a great tool for devotional reading and also for personal growth.

You should eventually create your own topical Bible promise book. You can use almost any word processing software. If you have a family, you can do this together. Just be sure that you understand the context of the scripture before you add it to your list. And, look at the verse in different translations so that you can get a full picture of what God is saying. Some verses will fit into more than one category.

If you create your own, or a family, Bible promise book, try to be balanced when dealing with topics that are vast. The issue of prosperity is a good example. There are scriptures that state that God wants us to be blessed. But there are also scriptures that talk about the evil of loving money. You want to present a balanced view on what scripture teaches. So, under this topic, prosperity, you should include scriptures that cover subtopics like the following: financial stewardship, prosperity, loving money, and helping the poor.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:17-20
